Dockham Shore Estate

Located amongst the shoreline of Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford, New Hampshire, this traditional lake house is accompanied by a newly constructed spacious landscape. Starting with initial design discussions, the objective was a space that would be sufficient for entertaining of all sorts. The existing landscape included a sloped lawn area spanning from the house, down to the shoreline with a small walk-in beach. Through our design and permit process, we implemented a new plan to provide a perched beach that would create a level area to relax with your feet in the sand, enjoying various views that surround Lake Winnipesaukee. We worked with Natural Stone Wall Solutions to provide an environmentally friendly solution for this shoreline while improving their usable space. Aside from the beach, multiple pathways built with Liberty Hill granite flagging from Delgado Stone give comfortable access to a large level lawn and an expansive stone patio for outdoor dining, gaming, and seating. This landscape was designed to take advantage of various spaces, while still emphasizing a focus on privacy and stabilization. All four property lines include thoughtfully designed gardens that improve stormwater management in an effort to protect our cherished lake for many years.
