The Crew Member is an experienced landscaper working with routine supervision. The position works as a member of the team to ensure the highest quality of landscape maintenance on the job-site.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
*Help the crew in the day to day operations of property maintenance accounts, both Commercial and residential.
*Communicate with supervisors, managers, Crew Leader, and other crew members to make complete the tasks of the day efficiently.
*Knowledge of all landscaping equipment, including zero turn mowers, walk behind mowers, string, trimmers, blowers, hedge pruners etc.
*Meet with Supervisors/Managers/Crew Leader once a week to ensure goals and job hours are being met.
*Ensure all safety guidelines are followed and work is completed according to safe working habits.
*Work to identify more efficient ways to perform duties.
*Operate and train properly on the use of equipment.
*Help with the snow removal efforts during the winter months.
*Strong work ethic.
*Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
*Effective communication skills – must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs and
complete simple reports.
*Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment and materials
*Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs. repeatedly throughout an entire work shift.
*Ability to work in a fast paced environment
*Excellent stamina is required.
*Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
*Work outdoors in various conditions, including but not limited to, heat, humidity, rain, noise and cold.
*Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends.
*Punctual, dependable, and accountable.
*Valid Driver’s License and DOT Medical Card
*Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
*Availability to continue working as a full-time member of the team throughout the winter months.
